Over in Scandanavia, LeoVegas recently announced the successful launch of their casino app in the Google Play Store. Players in Sweden, Denmark, and Spain who have an Android device can download the app and play from the large list of available games for real money.
Playing via a dedicated app provides a range of benefits to players and to LeoVegas. Players can simply tap the casino button on their home screen to open the casino. Generally apps are faster and provide a better user interface than their mobile browser counterparts. Players who downloaded the app may possibly receive special alerts letting them know of any special deals or promotions straight to their phone. These notifications are an important tool to app owners as it allows them to communicate clearly with their customers.
Nearly half of mobile users in Sweden have an Android phone, while in Spain that number shoots up to 90%. In Denmark, only 38% of mobile users have an Android device as their daily driver.
Mattias Wedar, the Cheif Product and Technology Officer at LeoVegas said:
“Once again, we have positioned ourselves as leaders in our industry and make it easier for our customers to get a superior mobile product and this will enhance the customer experience“
He went on to explain how they had to beat many of their competitors to be the first to release the app, as Google announced the possibility to do so only in late January.
The application process for developers to distribute casino apps in allowed countries is a tough process. The operator must hold a valid gambling license from each county’s gambling regulatory body. Operators are restricted to the types of games they can offer, and only to Android users.
Will LeoVegas release an Android app in New Zealand?
