SkyCity Entertainment Group, the casino, property, and hotel operator based in Auckland has announced a further restructuring to its management team with three internal appointments in its flagship Auckland and Adelaide properties.
Callum Mallett, the current Executive General Manager Hospitality at SkyCity Auckland has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer New Zealand. In the role, Callum who according to his Linkedin profile has been with Sky City since 2007, will take responsibility for Sky City’s New Zealand business as well as the day-to-day management of SkyCity Auckland.
David Christian, the current General Manager of SkyCity Adelaide, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer Australia. Meanwhile, Matthew Ballesty, the current Executive General Manager Gaming, has been made Chief Casino Officer. Matthew will have responsibility for casino operations at SkyCity Auckland as well as providing strategic direction for all group-wide gaming products
The three internal appointments, all took effect from Monday, February 1st. The restructuring of the key leadership positions follows significant changes made to the corporate leadership team in November 2020. The reshuffle then saw Graeme Stephens replaced by Michael Ahearne as Chief Executive Offer, and Rob Hamilton and Liza McNally both leave their respective roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.
